Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)

These Terms and Conditions (i.e., T&Cs) govern your access to and use of services offered by Wattle Pathways (i.e., we, us, our) including our paid and subsidised tutoring and civic and career services. By enrolling in our services (online or in person) or using our website, you agree to comply with these T&Cs. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these T&Cs on your behalf.

1. Enrolment and participation

  • Enrolment is confirmed once you have registered and paid for our tutoring class or other service.
  • Regular attendance and completion of assigned tasks or homework are expected for the benefit of all participants.

2. Behaviour and conduct

  • Participants must behave respectfully towards peers, tutors, and staff, whether attending in person or online.
  • Disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or removal from programs without refund.
  • Safety and respectful engagement are core values of our learning environment.

3. Payments and fees

  • Payments must be made before the commencement of a tutoring session or other services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • When making payment for any of our services, your card details are protected through a secure server.

4. Refund and cancellation policy

  • You are eligible for a full refund if you cancel your tutoring session or other services at least 24 hours in advance. You also have the option to advise us to keep your payment as credit to be used for other tutoring sessions or any of our other services.
  • Refunds may take up to 5 working days to be processed.

5. Use of learning resources

  • All learning materials provided by us (including print, digital, and recorded sessions) are protected by copyright and are for non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, share, or distribute these materials without our written consent.

6. Privacy and data protection

  • We collect and store personal information for administrative, educational, and safety purposes in accordance with applicable privacy laws in Australia.
  • Your personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

7. Website use and social media platforms

  • All website contents (i.e., layout, logo, program pictures/graphics, and etc.) are the property of Wattle Pathways and are subject to copyright. Anyone found to have breached our copyright may be subject to financial and other penalties.
  • By using our website, or engaging via our social media platforms, you agree not to:
    • upload or post harmful or unlawful content
    • Use automated tools to extract data (scraping)
    • Violate the intellectual property rights of others or breach security protocols.

8. Third-party links

  • Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse or take responsibility for the content, services, or practices of these sites.
  • Access to external links is at your own risk.

9. Liability

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in our tutoring session or use of our other services.
  • We make every effort to provide a safe and productive learning environment but do not guarantee specific outcomes.

10. Supervision and safety

  • For school-aged participants, parents/guardians must provide up-to-date emergency and health information at the time of registration.
  • Tutoring sessions may be conducted at a designated location agreed by student and their tutor or online using our secure management system.
  • We require our Board, staff, tutors and volunteers to comply with our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy and encourage parents/guardians to also read this document. Parents/guardians may also agree with the tutors to attend in-person or online tutoring sessions.

11. Changes to these terms

  • We reserve the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately unless stated otherwise.
  • Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised T&Cs.
