FAQs For students and parents/guardians
Please read our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) below if you’re existing or new students and parents/guardians. If you still have any questions, please email us via admin@wattlepathways.com.au or call us on 1300 124 283.
How do I start tutoring?
After you singed up as a student, you’ll create your student profile in our secure tutoring management system. You’ll then have the flexibility to book and manage your tutoring sessions.
Can I cancel a booked tutoring session?
Yes- we kindly ask you to cancel your booked sessions at least 24 hours in advance.
Where are tutoring sessions held?
Each tutor will indicate their availability and mode of tutoring (in person and/or online) in our learning management system. You can choose the best mode of tutoring that suits you.
How often should I schedule sessions?
We suggest weekly sessions for you. However, the frequency is entirely up to you—we’re flexible with both regular and occasional lessons.
Can parents join tutoring sessions?
Yes! Parents are more than welcome to sit in during lessons. Additionally, after each session, tutors provide a detailed summary available through our tutor management platform, which you’ll have access to once tutoring begins.
Who are your tutors?
You will be taught by high performing and experienced tutors. Our tutors undergo a rigorous selection process and hold a valid Working With Children Check or equivalent check from other states/territories.
Can I stop tutoring whenever I want?
Yes! Just let us know when you’d like to pause or stop, and we’ll update your records.
How do I communicate with my tutor?
After you create your student profile, you can communicate via an agreed method (i.e., preferred email and/or our learning management system). Our tutor coordinator is also available for any assistance.
What if I’m not satisfied with my tutor?
Please inform our tutoring program coordinator if your tutor isn’t the right fit for you. You’ll also have the flexibility to look at our other tutor profiles on Our Tutors page and select the ones that are most qualified for your subject(s).
Do tutors follow the current curriculum?
Absolutely! Our tutors are deeply familiar with the Australian curriculum and are carefully matched with students based on their subject strengths.
If I am enrolled in your paid secondary tutoring services (Grade 7-12), do I still need to pay fees for your Civic Education Services?
You’ll get a free session in our Civic Education Services after every 10 paid tutoring sessions.
Can I have a copy of your policies in plain language or a language other than English?
Yes. On request, we can provide you with any of our policies such as Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy in a language other than English.
